Tulbagh’s glorious sunny days deserve a fantastic pool to lounge beside and cool off in, and it just so happens that Vindoux is home to one of Tulbagh’s largest pools. At 15m by 8m and 2.4m deep, the pool is perfect for dipping, diving and swimming in. Set in the beautifully manicured gardens, and surrounded by sun loungers, four poster day beds and picnic tables, this suntrap is a great place to unwind or have some fun.
The pool area is also a fantastic place to spot the wildlife in the game camp. We have one zebra, and a herd of springbok, as well as a couple of large tortoises. You could even be lucky enough to see some newborn springbok. Although the animals are not tame, they are getting used to seeing people, and often graze quite happily near the fence line so that you can get a good look at them.
We have abundant birdlife on the farm including jackal buzzards and sparrow hawks who nest annually allowing you to get a good look at their youngsters when they start learning to fly. Here is a list of species you may see during your stay: BIRD WATCHING LIST

Make time to appreciate the beauty of our valley by seeing it at a slower pace. Vindoux’s Wine by Bike can provide bike hire for half or full days, to allow you to explore the number of farm tracks through the orchards and vines, or to visit the nearby wine farms.

At Vindoux day spa our professional therapists are on hand to ease all your stresses away. We use our i house Fynbos Therapy range to help you to reconnect with nature. These same products can be enjoyed in your room.
Organic Farming
Our organic gardens are not only fun to walk through, but they are organically farmed and provide us with delicious fresh ingredients. The project was expanded in 2022 and we are excited for that the future holds. We also have free range hens for fresh eggs and look forward to planting our first organic fruit orchard.

Functions & Weddings
As with everything at Vindoux we pride ourselves in providing the “personal touch” and functions are no exception. There are several beautiful spaces on the farm perfect for intimate functions, under the great oak tree, around the pool and on the game viewing deck to name but a few. Whether you want to have a vintage tea party in the garden or disco around the pool we will do our best to cater for your every need.
“The Village Hall” Function Venue
This renovated farm building near the self-catering village, makes the most of its stunning vineyard surroundings and mountain views. The Village Hall can seat up to 50 people, which makes it ideal for an intimate garden wedding, a place to celebrate a birthday or even a small conference. It is next to the Boma braai area, if you wish to cater for yourselves. Alternatively, we would be happy to provide the catering for you. We could also assist you in your party plans by providing the décor for you, or you could simply hire the hall as it is. We also have a small beduin tent available to hire.
