Here at Vindoux, we want your stay with us to be as relaxing and hassle-free as possible. With that in mind, we have created our Farm Kitchen for those who want to eat onsite. All of our dishes are homemade, using the best locally sourced produce, mostly from our own gardens. Feel free to enjoy in your room, on the deck or at one of our picnic areas.
Homemade snacks, platters and lunches are available to order 7 days a week from 8am -5pm. Please let us know when you book your stay if you have any special dietary requirements, and we shall try our best to cater for you. Of course, a stay in the Cape winelands would not be complete without sampling some of our wonderful local wine, so a selection of wines, and other beverages, are available at reasonable prices from the farm kitchen.
Included in your treehouse stay is a cooked or cold breakfast. Make you selection when you check-in and we will deliver it to you, at your required time, whether that is directly to your bed or to the gardens.
Our self-catering guests can also relax knowing that Vindoux has your needs covered too. We want your stay to feel like a break and not just the same routine in a different location, so why not take advantage of our platters and picnics? If you fancy a snack during the day, the kitchen has a take-away menu, and breakfast is taken care of in the form of breakfast baskets, which contain everything for you to prepare your own continental breakfast, or you can enjoy a cooked breakfast or lunch on the game viewing deck.
No break would be complete without a braai at one of our several braai areas, the kitchen also stocks braai packs from our local butchery, as well as fresh bread, salads and drinks.
Delicious, homemade, goodie-filled picnic baskets are available by order. We have several options available to suit everyone from the gourmet delights, to the kids, all packed with a little bit of love.
In addition to the private braai areas at the Tree Lodge and the self-catering cottages, Vindoux has three other large braai areas for guests to use. Perfect for small groups or treehouse guests, the braai area in the main garden is ideally located next to the swimming pool, underneath the trees and in view of the game camp. If you are looking for something a little larger, then why not investigate our Boma braai area? Situated nearby the self-catering cottages, the Boma has three braais and a large central fireplace. Just the thing for enjoying time with the family or a large group of friends. Honeymooners can enjoy a more private braai at our “cozy nook” braai area, perfect for a little alfresco romance!
Our recently established market gardens are not only beautiful to walk through, but they ard organically farmed and provide us with delicious fresh ingredients . We also have free range hens for fresh eggs. Eggs and vegetables can be purchased to take home, please enquire at reception.
